After years of writing, selling and marketing for some fabulous firms and non-profits, I am now a freelance writer, copywriter and editor based in Raleigh, N.C.
Reporting for a Pulitzer Prize-winning daily newspaper, the Charleston Daily Mail, taught me to write with credibility and authority on diverse topics. Editing investment research gave me broad knowledge about many industries. I enjoy sharing my travel experiences with others and like working with marketing agencies, web designers and SEO specialists who bring me in to craft unique marketing copy.
Working for myself gives me the flexibility to choose the challenges I take on and the freedom to pursue my greatest passion: researching, planning and enjoying the perfect trip, whether it be across the state to frolic at the NC Zoo, cross the pond to paraglide off a mountain or to Africa to learn about animal conservation.

- I para-glided off the First in Grindelwald, Switzerland.
- I traveled to Kenya to see & support the work of one of my heroes, Dame Daphne Shedrick & the DSWT.org.
- I did my first scuba dive on my 50th birthday in Roatan; a tandem skydive on my 45th, and rode horseback on the beach & had a magical massage at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur for my 40th. I'm thinking about taking a surfing lesson near Frying Pan Shoals for my 55th — no promises; I'm either smarter or less courageous than I used to be.
- Journalistically, my interview with W. Clement Stone, who co-authored "Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude" with Napolean Hill, continues to enhance my life.
- Recently, I edited an investment book detailing what's wrong with major economies across the globe.
- Topics for recent bookazine projects were wonderfully diverse: "The Great Gatsby Era," "Vikings, "TV Cowboy Heroes," "Women's Shoes" and "Women of the Bible. I copyedited these single-topic magazines for Event Bookazines.
